Quest for the Ultimate Jell-O® Shot

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

Ahh the classic Jell-O® shot. Despite the fact they are as played out as beer bongs and Eagles records, they never fail to make their bi-annual appearances at random parties. Should you have a little bit of college party nostalgia, myscienceproject.org has conducted and documented an experiment to find the maximum amount of alcohol that can be used in a Jell-O® shot while still maintaining the structural integrity of the gelatin. Visit the experiment at http://www.myscienceproject.org/j-shot.html for everything you could possibly want to know about the gelatinous devil.

Beer Can Handle - Why???

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

Came across this beer can handle today from drinkingstuff.com. It’s basically a handle that clips on to a beer can (because holding a beer can was so hard before). All I can say about this one is, why? Nice try guys but this one definitely falls under the slightly stupid/useless category. As a novelty item, I can see that, but as an actual solution to beer holding? Do your self a favor fellas, save the 10 bucks and continue to hold your beers like a man the old fashioned way.

Now the bottle top ash tray I can digg a little more. This at least has a purpose and a certain factor of practicality. Still a bit overkill, however it does allow for a social aspect whereas the beer can holder does have a social aspect to it as well, but only if you like being made fun of at parties.

Bierstick - New rival to the BeerBong

Monday, June 16th, 2008

Tired of the ol’ beer bong? Yes it has been around for many decades and definitely held its own over the years as a great party pass time, but don’t you think anymore it is a bit cliché. I do, and quite frankly I’m tired of seeing it. Well Bierstick has re-invented the wheel and combined the concept of those old water soakers into a beer thrusting apparatus. No longer will you rely on gravity to propel your beer but rather you will now inject the can of beer into your stomach via brute force at record breaking speeds. An if you don’t have any friends nearby to assist you, the wall will be your friend. Link…

An RC Cooler that brings you drinks.

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

Put down those milk bones you have been using to train your dog to fetch you beers from the cooler and check out this new product from Interactive toy concepts. This puppy appears to have all the fun that one would expect from an RC device while simotaniously having a bottom line purpose. Beer Convience. Which is why I would never be so bold as to consider any thing as serious as a beer fetcher a toy. It runs on 8 C batteries and claims to last up to 6 hours, which should be more than enough to get the job done. Gizmodo has a great review on this product. Link…..
