July 5th, 2008 | by admin |If you are an iPOD user, and are as picky as myself, you definitely know that iTunes blows. If you like iTunes, hey, more power to ya, however I frankly got sick of loosing my entire library of songs on multiple occasions. YamiPOD has been my official replacement to iTunes for over a year now, and I love it. Its completely free and they have compiled binaries in Windows, Mac, and Linux. I have only used it in windows thus far and since it is a standalone program, I simply just put the executable in the root of my iPod so whenever I go to someone else’s computer, I can just click on the drive that the PC assigns to the iPod and run the executable for YamiPod thus giving me full drag and drop control of my collection without the BS of iTunes. If you haven’t heard of or tried YamiPod, its definitely worth a look.
